So today at Albright College we had a Time Management program around 7. It was very informative, but a little boring at some parts. It started off good. The speaker, April, was very fun and peppy. It made the speech more enjoyable.
I learned a lot on how to manage my time very well. She said that many students like to procrastinate during college. I as a freshmen I found that true too.I noticed that I have not been studying or working on my papers as I should have. In this program the speaker said that it is natural for students to not want to do their work, and that they will use every excuse in the book to try to avoid work. This program was about not using these excuses to not do work. I learned a lot of tips to share. For starters, saying "Hmm, I think I will take a shower...hmm I am hungry is really just a way not to do your work. People need to put a schedule for themselves that will help them do good. For example, April said that it is okay to have fun, or hang out. The only thing is that you cannot let having fun interfere with your schoolwork.
This program was very useful, because in the end we all received time management sheets. With time slots for all your classes, and in between. I know that I will fill mine out, and try to stick to it as much as I can.
