Today I went to the Finals Preparation workshop. It was very useful to listen to. The people who were presenting this workshop were 3 professors from Albright College. They gave very good tips at how to prepare for the finals. For example, they said that when studying one should break their studying sessions into blocks rather than doing it all at once. Another tip was to study in groups rather than study by yourself. They said that it was proven that students who study together do better than students who study by themselves. The tip that all three of these professors stressed was to always ask questions. They said that asking questions can help the student understand better, and it helps the professor to teach better or go over a subject more.
I felt a little relived that some of the questions that I had were answered. It was very informal this session, and I liked it because the students got involved sometimes too. They also encouraged people at this workshop to ask them questions about asking questions. It was very informative. I think that they should do this more often, have workshop that encourage interaction between students and professors.
