Kid, You'll Shoot Your Eye Out !
I attended an experiece event at the wachovia theater. It was not exactly a play, but more like a monolouge played by the theater majors and senior theater students. There were 11 people in the show that did a monolouge of their own but there more than 11 monolouges because some students did 2. My favorite monolouge was played by Szalene Anthony. I thought hers was really funny. She pretended by an older women back in the 1900's down south, and the accent she made was hilarious. Another thing I liked about this monolouge production was for the students who more than one act, their second one was always something way different from the first. For example one girl was acting as if she was the prettiest girl ever, and then the next minute she is sad because she cant get a man. I thought that was a really good idea to do because you can then see the students true acting skills. To play a little old quiet lady then 2 minutes later a hyper teenage girl is a really great character. Overall the showcase was really nice, and i look forward to seeing more productions from the theater students and theater majors.!
