"Kid, You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!" Experience Event

Tonight I attended the experience event called "Kid You'll Shoot Your Eye Out!" This experience event was definitely not what I expected it to be. Faculty and staff portrayed this event as relating to the holiday season but it turns out that it really did not. A majority of the event related to the students acting out monologues from certain movies and it turned out to be very entertaining.

The students involved in the show came from the class THR 250 and THR 491: Senior Seminar, meaning they are pursuing a career in the theater department. Many of these actors and actress's were very talented and played their roles amazing. Each one of the 11 actors/actress' each recited a scene from a well known movie. For example one of the monologues came from the movie clueless. However some of the movies I was unfamiliar with. I feel like they should have rein-acted more famous movies because a lot of the audience was confused. Like I said in the beginning it did not really relate to the holiday season, but at one point they had the actors talk about a holiday experience.

Overall it was great seeing some of the actors and actress' here at Albright. All of them are so talented and I'm sure it takes months for them to get everything perfect. I give them a lot of credit because i know it takes a lot of hard work.
